“If comparison is the thief of joy, then uncertainty is the thief of morale.”

— Nontalie Morrow, Ph.D.

About Me

Nontalie Morrow (pronounced Non-tall-ee) is the founder and owner of 3-Fold Alignment, LLC and is focused on highlighting the role and value of professional staff within colleges and universities. She has a PhD in Higher Education and her research brings attention to the formal and informal power professional staff have during transformative institutional changes.

Dr. Morrow has over 10 years of para-professional experience as a staff member working in Student Affairs and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). She developed a passion for Student Affairs as a first-year undergraduate student and dove head first into many student leadership roles and professional development opportunities. She transitioned into DEI work as a graduate student and honed her skills as a counselor, advisor, and instructor focused on underrepresented student populations.

As a doctoral student, her interests shifted from student development to institutional leadership and organizational change. Nontalie’s natural inclination for organization and planning led her to examine these processes within higher education. She quickly saw how many moving pieces were involved in organizational growth and change. Specifically, she noticed how institutional staff were essential in implementing organizational plans yet had very little involvement in the planning processes. Therefore, she is now focused on identifying and enacting the best ways to incorporate the voices and expertise of professional staff in organizational planning and changes. Ultimately, she wants professional staff to be respected and honored to the same degree as any other institutional constituent group.

Her professional mission is to put people first, no matter what. This means identifying all of the human costs involved in pursuing any policy, initiative, or decision and working daily to ensure those human resources are never depleted.
